Part time Health and Safety Officer - Twickenham
Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional, looking for a part time opportunity? If so, this could be just the job!
Marble Hill Fireplaces are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Officer with a background in Construction,Architecture or Engineering to work one or two days per week at their prestigious showroom in Twickenham. The hours are flexible but would involve a minimum of 8 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting audits and risk assessments, arranging training for fireplace fitters, toolbox talks and inductions and investigating incidents where required
- Assisting with creating and implementing new Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Implementing a positive Health and Safety culture within the company
- Acquiring CHAS certification each year for the company
Essential requirements include:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Experience of Health and Safety within construction/architecture or engineering industries
- The ability to communicate and engage with all levels of personnel
- Tenacious and persuasive personality
- Previous experience in HR capacity would be useful (not essential)

Experienced fireplace fitter required for prestigious showroom in SW London
Marble Hill is a reputable retail company located in S.W. London/Surrey borders and we have an opening for a skilled fitter. We specialise in the installation of stone, marble and balanced flue fireplaces. The majority of our work is on high profile projects and we are offering a high salary to the right person.
Van and tools supplied
The following skills/experience are advantageous:
- Gas Safe Registered & CSCS certified
- Experience in installing balanced flue fires
- Clean driving license
- Fluent English- written and spoken
- Right to work in UK
- Lifting of heavy goods & working at heights
- Supervision skills
- Multi-disciplined general building experience
You will be the head fitter on site, supervising one skilled labourer, and will be expected to work on your own initiative. The ideal candidate will be strong and fit, a good problem solver and take pride in the work. Experience of constructing metal studwork chimney breasts would be desirable but full training will be given if required.
This is a full time position, 5 days a week with overtime. We are based in Twickenham but generally work in London, so living within easy commuting distance of Twickenham is imperative. An attractive salary will be offered to the ideal candidate.
